Oh where to begin and where to end without boring you to death?
I was born in a town so small that we didn't have a single stoplight. Small towns, though, have large libraries and vast forests to explore. During my time there I fell in love with the woods, reading, writing and dreaming. I also spent my time occasionally writing letters to my "future self".
One such letter indicated if I took a desk job, my younger self would be deeply disappointed. Those short paragraphs did a great job of guilting me over the ten years I spent in the tech world.
In my late twenties I finally decided to take all that i'd learned and make my younger self proud. Thanks to the wisdom that i'd received from my mentors and the relentless support of loved ones, I finally had the courage to pursue the things that set my soul on fire. That is what Cour Yoga is to me, my most authentic attempt to live the life i've always imagined.
To add to that, I always imagined myself living on 30A in Santa Rosa Beach, FL -- so here I am. Chicago, I will always love you, but the dune lakes and aquamarine waters of Emerald Coast own my heart.
From a yoga standpoint I am an ERYT 200 instructor with the Yoga Alliance, meaning that I have taught over 1,000 hours worth of classes. I am formally trained in Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Gentle and Nidra. I balance East with West, and believe in creating space for others to explore themselves, versus filling it with my own rhetoric.
I hope we meet soon.
